Healthy Education

I was at an event twhen one of the presenters mentioned how women are more likely to get dementia, living ten years longer than men and having more illnesses than men.

Whew!

I cringe when I am at an event and anyone tries to project such a negative attitude about whether people have choices and can find solutions to ailments most people think are incurable.

The truth of the matter is there is a cure for every ailment. Truly. We have to look further for some cures, but they are out there. In Europe and most other countries the first choices is to find as many alternatives as possible. They will use herbs, acupunctures, Asian techniques, nutrition, hypnotherapy and many other practices you will rarely hear about in the U.S.

Yet we have more people in the U.S. who die from going into the hospital and dying from a staff infection than dying from the illness they went into the hospital to be treated. We have so many resources and too many times people want to take the easy way out.

Take a pill, do a surgery, let someone else make the decision for us . . . but when it comes down to it, it is our sole responsibility, no one else’s. We can not give up the control of our health and well being to anyone.

And we can not give up until we have a cure for whatever ails us.
